Foundation Water Bag
Miko Marine has designed a foundation system for a subsea pipeline repair system. The repair system consisted of lifting frames intended used for lifting the pipeline off the sea bed. Miko Water Bags were designed and qualified by Marintek to support the frame and act as a dynamic load transfer system between the frame and the muddy sea bed. Dimentions 4,5 x 3,0 x 1,4 m
The result was:
- Good load distribution characteristics
- High longitudinal stability characteristics
- Allowance for horizontal operational span of clamp
