The Russian ship Piotr Vilikj grounded on the Norwegian coast in December 1998.
It was not allowed to continue its voyage before the heavy fuel oil inside the damaged tanks was secured. Miko Marine patched the ship, and the next morning she was allowed to go to dry dock for permanent repair.
Stocznia Szczecinska Porta Holding SA
In May 2001 Miko Marine AS was awarded a contract with the Polish ship yard Stocznia Szczecinska. The contract meant a delivery of fourteen + nine Tanker Kits within a period of five years.
Bergesen LNG tankers
Daewoo Shipyard/Korea placed an order on tanker kits for Bergesen’s LNG tankers.
Seatrade Award
In 2000 Miko Marine AS was presented the Seatrade Award “for a highly commended contribution to innovation introduced during 1999”.
Spanish and French Navy
The two Nato countries Navy have installed a number of ERB and Tanker Kit onboard their vessels. One Nation is currently finalizing discussions to install an Emergency repair package onboard every floating vessel.
UK - Maritime Coast Agency
Miko has supplied a significant amount of Salvage equipment to be stocked onboard their Emergency Towing Vessels (ETV’s) and Emergency response stock pile in Southampton. System onboard every floating vessel.
